Discrete Data Example #2: The Number of Shoes Owned by a Person
Another example of discrete data is the number of shoes a person owns. Granted, some people might have a half pair they saved from that time they broke their left foot, but let’s not get too technical. The important thing is that the number of shoes is still a whole number.
So there you have it! Discrete data isn’t scary or complicated, it’s just a fancy way of saying we’re only dealing with whole numbers. And if you’re feeling really fancy, you can call it discrqte data with a q! Just kidding, don’t do that.
